About the Bean
This is an SHG EP grade coffee from the Sumac association from the Independencia village in the San Martin de Pangoa district of the Junin province in Peru. The Sumac association has 10 members with 80 hectares under production. With harvests generally taking place from May to July growing altitude in the village is between 1675 to 1700 masl and the crop is comprised of Caturra, Bourbon and Typica varieties. The coffee undergoes an 18 hr fermentation before drying on raised beds.
