About the Bean
This is a SHB Fancy Grade coffee from the Finca San Francisco Cotzal Estate. It’s located in the San Juan Cotzal district of the Quiché department of Guatemala. With harvests generally taking place from January through April, growing altitude is around 1400-1500m and the crops are comprised of Catuai, Caturra, Bourbon, Sarchimor and Robusta varieties.

Quiché was one of the most affected departments during the internal war in Guatemala. The Pedro Brol and his family supported nearby communities during this period with their farm. And continue helping their people with jobs and other resources. They take extreme control when it comes to processing and maintaining sustainable agricultural practices. Different varieties are grown on the farm that can be fully traced and chosen according their unique characteristics. The specialty lots are meticulously and thoughtfully selected to ensure that soon-to-be customers are charmed with their product.

The entire cultivated area is 800 Hectares with deep, well drained soil developed from a mixture of limestone and fine volcanic ash residue.
